Carmen+Curtis

They have known each other since they were little, both taking the same school bus to Glenmore Elementary. It wasn't until years later (after graduating high school) when they ran into one another did they see each other in a different light. After Curtis proposed on a trip to Harrison Hot Springs they decided it would be a romantic place to get married, so that's exactly what they did! Two days, and two dresses later they celebrated in Kelowna on the breathtaking lakefront property where Curtis grew up.

Carmen thought every little detail through with the help of Terri Rosenau a wedding event planner originally from Vancouver and now relocated to Kelowna. From their personalized monogram to the beautiful lime green lanterns purchased by Carmen while traveling in Vietnam, everywhere you turned there was something new, special and exciting!

Getting ready to walk down the aisle

The thick dense trees created an absolutely stunning backdrop

Married!

Love the excitement after the ceremony of Curtis's parents

Back in Kelowna, Carmen and her bridesmaids got ready for the second reception in a beautiful suite at the Eldorado Hotel, one of our favourite places for getting ready shots

Stunning bouquet

Curtis and his brothers

We had some time to do some gorgeous bridal shots of Carmen, isn't she absolutely beautiful

And the handsome Curtis

Curtis was all fun and games and not too interested in the picture process, but we promised Carmen and his mom that we'd get some good ones. I think they turned out great.

Loading onto the dock of the reception after being dropped off by a boat

All the details of the cocktail hour

Entering the reception/dinner area and seeing it all decorated for the first time

Avalon Event Rentals did an amazing job putting up this clear roof tent. It covered the tennis court creating a cozy and sophisticated dinner area. Again look at all those details!

As the sun set everything in the tent illuminated creating a romantic place for a tasty meal catered by the Eldorado Hotel

Thanks guys for having us be a part of your beautiful wedding days!

The Forsberg Family

What a great family! This session was a ton of fun because the five of them were up for anything! We scheduled their session when we knew we'd get the most beautiful light. This allowed us to not only capture this great looking family but the natural beauty of the Okanagan.

Jerel, Brett, Chelsey, Kirsten and Karen

Love this moment we caught of them walking down the mountain, isn't the sky and rock just amazing

They never stopped laughing with each other

Such a great shot of Karen and Jerel

The light was amazing in this grass, we love how each strand of grass glows

Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to capture some family memories that will last a lifetime!

Rikki+Andrew

Rikki + Andrew from Grand Prairie, AB couldn't have lucked out any more for their destination wedding at Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort & Spa in Osoyoos, BC. As Jon and I drove down we dealt with thundering black velvet skies and non-stop rain. However, when we arrived the clouds opened up and blue sky peaked through. A gorgeous day for a gorgeous couple at one of our favourite places to photograph weddings.

Rikki wore a beautiful Maggie Sottero wedding gown

Love this shot of Andrew waiting for the ceremony

The flower girl

Married!

Spirit Ridge has so many amazing places for photographs. We could have photographed all night if we were able to!

One of my favourite bride+groom shots

Don't they look great together!

Some vibrant bridal shots of Rikki

Speeches

Although they had to move their reception from the outdoor patio to inside due to more thunderstorm threats, they still had a beautiful wedding day. Congratulations guys!
