Danya+Ralph

It's not very often you get asked to photograph a wedding for another wedding photographer. So when Danya from FlyPhotography asked us to photograph her wedding day we were more than honoured!

Danya along with her daughter Gracie and maid of honour Shanti getting ready in a beautiful suite at the Hotel
Eldorado

The perfume, shoes and earrings she wore

They drove to the church in a yellow vintage bug

Jon jumped in the back of the bug to get some shots driving to Benvoulin Church

I love this shot of Danya right before she walked down the aisle

Married! Driving away on a Harley Davidson motorcycle

They celebrated back at the Hotel Eldorado

Some bridal portraits

And a handsome shot of Ralph on the boardwalk

I snuck this shot in of Danya waiting for Ralph while Jon was photographing him (above shot)

Walking down the wharf back to the hotel for their grand entrance

They had a beautiful first dance with all the children blowing bubbles, how romantic!

They had fabulous details to photograph. We loved how Danya used images from their engagement shoot we did a few weeks ago with them to frame and give as favors for all their guests

Balloons filled the ceiling during the reception but soon the kids began setting them free

Rosalie

We love photographing people doing what they love. Rosalie loves to bake so we were gladly up for the challenge when her granddaughter approached us to do a session celebrating her grandma. Rosalie had just celebrated her birthday so this was a wonderful gift for her and her family. When clients think outside the box and are up for us documenting their lives we are so honoured to captures those memories. Here are a few of our favourites...

Rosalie having fun mixing the ingredients for a chocolate cake. A little unsure whether she should look at us or pretend we weren't there, she decided she would explain to us exactly what she was doing, like a cooking show! We had a great time and she never stopped laughing.

I love how this shot expresses how much she loves being in the kitchen

In the oven it goes

The ingredients to a delicious dessert

While the cake was baking in the oven, Rosalie was up for some portraits

Outside in the garden

Rosalie is such a kind and happy person, she really was fun to photograph

Cutting, serving and presenting her masterpiece

Thanks for such a fun session and those beautiful handmade cards!

Kayden

Today is the 2nd wedding anniversary for our dear friends Justin+Kristin. Jon and I had the privilege yesterday of watching their almost two year old son Kayden, while they enjoyed a baby free dinner out. We had so much fun spending time with Kayden and can't wait to do it again. Happy Anniversary guys!

Snack time on the grass
Riding the horse

Blowing bubbles
A few cool shots by the window laughing at Jon outside

Peek-a-boo
Snack time #2

And a little more peek-a-boo...
