Kate + Jason Wedding

In the last post I mentioned "constant sunshine"... we woke up for Kate and Jason's wedding day and the weather report said in red, "Extreme Rainfall Warning for the Okanagan Valley." I thought to myself, "Are you kidding me" but you know what, the day turned out so dramatic that we were loving the rain by the end of it. Jason and Kate you guys were amazing and such great sports. We were so glad to see the sunshine break through for you guys as evening faded in. We love you guys.

Over the past few years we have come to realize that Kelowna is a hotspot for destination weddings. Whether it be the close proximity between the Coast and Alberta, or the constant sunshine and beautiful vineyards, the Okanagan valley is a picturesque backdrop that makes it an ideal place to get married.

Because the outdoors is such a big part of Kelowna, most of our clients are eager to explore and cruise around town. One of the best ways we can think of doing that is on a scooter, which is exactly what our Edmonton couple, Kate and Jason did.

Thanks for a lot of laughs guys and for letting me burn a little rubber on the scooter with you.

Crystal + Colin Wedding

Crystal, Colin and their guests traveled from Prince George to marry under the Okanagan sun, and the sun delivered. It had to be the hottest wedding day Jenny and I have ever shot. I kept telling Jenny that if I pass out to just ignore me and keep shooting. She laughed and told me, "No problem." Luckily everyone including myself made it through the heat and the wedding day turned out amazing.

We spent as much time as we could at Colin's family farm which was the perfect backdrop for any first-look but the emotional and tearful Crystal made the moment her own. It was such a powerful moment.

After we got more pictures at the farm the wedding followed at Cedar Creek Winery and the evening ended at Manteo Resort which looked AMAZING thanks to Artistic Designs by Colleen. Congratulations Crystal and Colin and thanks for being so genuine.
